Alexandra Prescott

Hi, I'm Alexandra 👋, a photographer based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear, England, available for photography services across the surrounding areas.

I am a Fellowship Member of the Royal Photographic Society and hold a Master's degree in Contemporary Photography with Distinction. My work explores the natural world and our relationship with the creatures and environments we share.

Through photography, I examine themes of conservation, connection and responsibility, creating images that encourage a deeper appreciation of the natural world. Ten percent of my profits are donated to conservation charities supporting the protection of wildlife and habitats.

My contemporary studio work is influenced by Vanitas traditions, using symbolism and visual storytelling to explore how we interact with other species and consider the importance of treating all living things with greater respect.

I am a member of the Gamma Photoforum, having been invited to join in 2023. I also became a judge for the Northern Counties Photographic Federation (NCPF) in 2024, one of the fifteen regional federations that make up the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB).

My aim is to create thoughtful, meaningful photography that celebrates the natural world while encouraging reflection on our place within it.
